What do they sell during the Advent special market in Munich? I wish I could see it...(give a different answer) .
From late November to 24th December, Marienplatz, the central square in Munich's Altstadt, gets filled with scented stalls and kiosks all arranged around a giant fir tree. They sell everything from handmade ornaments, creche figures, candles to wood-carved toys. My favourite piece is the "Christmas pyramid", a special German decoration, powered by a candle and consisting of a merry-go-round machine. It's only competitor is Nuremberg market, known for its gingerbread houses.
