With tones of beer and sausages, mainly :) Oktoberfest has its origins in 1810, on the ocassion of Crown Prince Ludwig's marriage....It starts 15 days before the first Sunday in Oktober and can be qualified as the most drunken celebration in Europe. Huge tents are installed in Theresienwiese, just next door from the Hauptbahnhof and beer is flowing ...There's no entrance charge, but take care coz those 6 euros from 1 l bottles pile up :)
