Where can I visit that prison for students in Heidelberg? I understood that unserious students were kept there in the 18th century.(give a different answer) .
Well, Heidelberg hosts the oldest university in Germany, and near it, in Universitatsplatz you'll bump into your Studentenkarzer. Indeed, between 1778 and 1914, students with unsatisfactory results were imprisoned there from 2 to 10 days. They were guilty of smallish offenses as womanising, singing, getting drunk. You can visit the place for 2.50 euros. Beware if you plan studying in Germany :)
