Of course there are dozens of public swimming pools in Berlin, but if you wanna listen to an expert's point of view, then go for a swimm at the Strandbad Wnnsee on Wannseebadweg street in Zehlendorf. This must be the largest in Europe, and facilities include a 1km sandy beach. Try to go there in summer though :)
