The Schlossplatz in Berlin

Posted 1 year ago by avatar egzon in response to avatar jordan's question: What is that Schlossplatz in Berlin? (give a different answer) .

Well, it is actually a square, the Palace square as I would translate it. It's called that way cause for almost 500 years there was a palace there - Stadtschloss. Because it was seen as a symbol of Prussian militarism, the GDR government decided to demolish it in the 50s. A great loss for Berlin and not only
