Cheapest thing I can think of is this hostel onChausseestrasse at no 102 called Mitte's Backpacker hostel. I stayed there myself for a few days, and besides the unusual small fee - just 15 E a night, they even gave buffet breakfast. And the place is clean, not like most cheap hostels
