Possibilities of hiking are endless, considering there are 7000km of marked routes in Schwarzwald. Three trails are actually more popular: Westweg to Basel- a 280 km adventure, Mittelweg to Waldhut-Tiengen - spreading 230 km, and Ostweg to Schaffhausen, a 240 km trail. Scared-stiff of the distances? Feel free to stroll around and admire the farmhouses, amiable cows and cuckoo clock shops without aiming at any performance.
